The success of your writing project depends on how well you know your business. Can you answer these questions?

  • What is your niche?
  • Who is your ideal customer?
  • What is your core marketing message?
  • What are your customers’ pain points?
  • What benefits do you offer?
  • What do you want to tell your customers?
  • What do you want them to do?


While you tell me about your business and the project, I listen and take notes. I may ask you to repeat yourself to make sure they’re accurate. When we’re done, you can be confident that I understand your subject, phrasing, word choices, and tone.


Often I’ve collected enough information in this conversation, to complete your project. If I need more information, we can talk again, or you can give me notes, outlines, or documentation.

The final steps

When we’ve completed these steps, I write what you want to say the way I think you’d say it yourself.

If you’re satisfied, wonderful! If you want revisions and your project fee includes them, we’ll discuss the specific changes you want. I’ll make them and return the project to you.


Before I begin work you pay a portion of the project fee. If it’s a big project I’ll ask for progress payments. When the project is complete, I’ll bill you for the remaining balance.  Once you’ve paid, I’ll send you an email giving you the copyright and ownership of the project.
